Returning to level

Alright. I have some explaining to do. I've been absent from blogland for a long time. AWOL. In absentia. Adrift. Away. Otherwise engaged. Nothing serious. Just pregnant. And up until the New Year hideous with it. Nauseus and tired and all weepy like. You know the drill. But it seems there was a reason for its added intensity. An intensity that saw me draw the shutters. Roll back the drawbridge. Put up the 'do not disturb' sign. Hide my light under a bushel. Take it reaaaaal slow and quiet.
It's a pair. A duo. Partners in crime. A coupla. Twice in one go ... you know? Twins.

... and it seems they're boys.

The initial hysteria, panic and wave of disbelief has passed. As has the uncontrollable laughter. We're in for the crazy ride. Dunc responded as any self respecting father-of-twins-to-be should and ripped out our kitchen... before, for and after Christmas. I have developed a penchant for storage solutions: chests of drawers, low boys, shelving, boxes, cupboards, urns, vats, silos...

It also appears I am in the painting phase of the pregnancy.

Thanks for all your concerned emails and comments. I'm 23 weeks - I feel human again. Just very round human.

Congratulations Gemma! Hope you get lots of rest (as much as you can around a kitchen reno ... and growing two bubs!).

Oh Gemma. What WONDERFUL WONDERFUL news. And it's great to hear you are feeling well now.

I will admit to laughing both WITH and AT your reactions. You bought back many memories!

Yes, you guys do have a crazy ride ahead. But it worth ALL the craziness. Twins are amazingly wonderful.

When people say admiringly "You don't do things by halves , do you ", they don't actually mean that you're supposed to rush out and do everything twice as fast.
But it's lovely news ... Congratulations to you all . And especially to you in all your roundness for having survived the mega morning sickness .

GEMMA!When I saw the pic of the pear I thought "That's what my (30 week pregnant)uterus used to look like. Then I scrolled down and saw the plums and thought "And those gonad-styling plums are what got me into this mess in the first place". THEN, I read the post. You are witty and clever in your pregnancy and I am clearly crass and one-track minded; as I know you also are. I'm looking forward to some crass tea and cake soon.

Oh how lovely! I missed you and was a tad worried. I am also busy growing a baby - only one though. Would have loved 2 in there... I am 29 weeks now. And I am also mad about storage and sorting and getting crap organised. Would love to rip out the bathroom but about $12,000 short on that project. So just getting some holes knocked in walls and painting and sanding etc etc Oh and lots of trips to ikea...

Glad to have you back
